The U.S. CDC recommends that pregnant women who want to go start taking folic acid at least three months before pregnancy. This is one of the most important nutrients before pregnancy to prevent some defects in the fetus. We recommend taking a supplement of 400 mg.

Leave some habits

Habits like drinking too much coffee, smoking and alcohol. All these factors are believed to decrease fertility and may affect the fetus and pregnancy. If you are thinking about getting pregnant neglects the snuff and alcohol and caffeine consumption decreases.

The effect of moderate caffeine consumption on fertility levels and the risk of abortion is controversial. Some doctors recommend not drinking caffeine or eating more than 300 mg a day.

If carbohydrates are fattening as all we eat but are very beneficial to health. Carbohydrates give us energy and contain valuable nutrients.

The basic food groups are: fats, proteins and carbohydrates. Any healthy diet according to most experts should include foods from each group.

There are two types of carbohydrates or carbohydrates: simple and complex. Simple carbohydrates are sugars and complex are in grains and other foods. Fruits have natural sugar (sucrose) as are carbohydrates. Grains such as beans and lentils contain complex carbohydrates, protein and other nutrients. Milk contains lactose (a sugar) as it also contains carbohydrates.
